The 2025–26 Strike Anywhere residency at PS 6 introduces Grades 1 and 2 students to the joy of theatre through puppetry and storytelling. Currently underway and culminating in March 2026, the residency builds foundational skills in storytelling, character creation, movement, voice, and collaboration.

Students create their own puppets using accessible materials and explore culturally relevant stories. The residency culminates in a joyful sharing event for families, accompanied by professional musicians, celebrating students’ creativity, confidence, and growing identities as performers.

The program is supported by the NYC Public Schools Arts Office Arts Partnership Grant, expanding access to arts learning for students with disabilities, English as a New Language learners, and general education students.
